Marcia White Ruins Dexter Finale for Millions

Must be REAL fun at parties.

Must be REAL fun at parties.

Dear Marcia White,

Thank you for posting the ‘game-changing’, jaw-dropping ending in the title of your blog article thus ruining the surprise ending for millions of viewers across the world (yes, there are people outside of your timezone that watches Dexter AND uses the internets.)

What a cunt. Seriously.

When she posted her blog at “Le High Valley Live” (aka Express Times), the season finale was only a half hour through in Canada, hadn’t even started to air in the UK – not to mention other countries it will air it in the future –  and folks (including those in Marcia’s timezone) who DVR it, buy the DVDs, or watch it On –Demand with the whole family.

Even people that were just searching for “Dexter” in general got stung by this spoiler. (This also applies to folks search regular Google for ‘dexter’ and ‘rita’.)

ScreenShoof spoiler

not cool, Marcia. Not cool.

At least E! Had the brains to leave the spoiler at “. . . “ as we all know somebody was going to die. The show is about a serial killer, after all.

It makes me wonder what is wrong with this lady? How did she get this job if she can’t even have the decency to keep spoilers out of titles?  You would think she would have someone look over her submissions before they are released on to the world. You would also think that – as she claims to be a Dexter fan – she would be even more careful (out of sympathy for other Dexter fans, like this article) to avoid doing something like this. But then again, Marcia knew exactly what she was doing by putting this in her blog summary:

Marcia White probably steals candy from small children, too and then tells them "you should of held on to it tighter."

It says on her page that she is the “features editor” (whatever that means), so I guess with that title perhaps this is the kind of ‘talent’ that this media outlet looks for. Perhaps articles like this will get her promoted to film critic! I can see it now. (Stop reading if you don’t want any spoilers for popular movies of past years):

Star Wars V: Empire Strikes Back
Darth Vader is Luke’s Dad!
Usual Suspects:
Kevin Spacey’s character was the one that did it all along!
Sixth Sense:
Bruce Willis is DEAD the whole time!
Indiana Jones 4:
OMG! Aliens!

Okay. That’s all I got.
